Mississippi Delta Tennessee Williams Festival

October 12-14 | 2023 Festival focus: BABY DOLL

This year’s Mississippi Delta Tennessee Williams Festival features Williams’ iconic Delta movie, BABY DOLL, starring Carroll Baker, Eli Wallach, and Karl Malden.

Williams combined the stories of his short plays 27 WAGONS FULL OF COTTON and THE UNSATISFACTORY SUPPER into the BABY DOLL screenplay, which was directed in 1955 by Elia Kazan in Benoit, Mississippi.

We look forward to welcoming Artists and Scholars from around the country for the 31st annual Mississippi Delta Tennessee Williams Festival which features panels, performances, parties, and porch plays!

The festival will once again be held the same weekend as the Deep Blues festival, so if you are coming from out of town, we recommend booking your accommodations as soon as possible!
