Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Resource Library

Our Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Resources advocate for fair treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement for all individuals, irrespective of their backgrounds, identities, or circumstances both on and off the stage. To understand exactly what we are promoting, we must first understand the concepts of equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Equity: We recognize that equity requires intentional efforts to identify and eliminate systemic barriers that perpetuate inequality. We pledge to advocate for fair treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement for all individuals, irrespective of their backgrounds, identities, or circumstances.

Diversity: We celebrate the richness of diversity in all its forms, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, age, ability, religion, and nationality. We pledge to honor and embrace these differences, understanding that diverse perspectives enhance creativity, innovation, and decision-making.

Inclusion: We affirm that inclusion is essential for fostering a sense of belonging and ensuring that every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute fully. We pledge to create inclusive environments where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, where voices are heard, and where diverse perspectives are not only welcomed but actively sought out and valued.

Continuous Learning and Growth: We acknowledge that achieving equity, diversity, and inclusion requires ongoing education, self-reflection, and action. We pledge to engage in continuous learning to deepen our understanding of systemic inequities and unconscious biases, and to actively work towards challenging and dismantling those barriers.

Accountability: We understand that accountability is paramount in our journey toward equity, diversity, and inclusion. We pledge to hold ourselves and others accountable for fostering environments free from discrimination, harassment, and prejudice, and to take meaningful action when these principles are compromised.

Collaboration and Allyship: We recognize that creating inclusive communities requires collaborative efforts and allyship across individuals, organizations, and communities. We pledge to listen with empathy, amplify marginalized voices, and stand in solidarity with those who are marginalized or oppressed.
