In the past, the Association served primarily as a sanctioning organization for the Mississippi theatre festivals and conventions under the aegis of the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.setc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Southeastern Theatre Conference<\/a>, the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aact.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">American Association of Community Theatres<\/a>,&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<a data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.kennedy-center.org\/education\/opportunities-for-artists\/pre-professional-artist-training\/kcactf\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kennedy-center.org\/education\/opportunities-for-artists\/pre-professional-artist-training\/kcactf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival&nbsp;<\/a> (SETC, AACT, and MTA\/KC\/ACTF as they are more widely known). Today, MTA includes workshops, auditions, and scholarship programs for high school students; workshops for community theatre members; and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Executive Director\u00a0<a data-type=\"mailto\" data-id=\"mailto:execdir@mississippitheatre.org\" href=\"mailto:execdir@mississippitheatre.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chris Roebuck<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/execdir@mississippitheatre.org\/\">\u00a0<\/a>serves as a central point of contact for the MTA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a
