Submissions due for the playwrighting competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MTA Playwriting Competitions are designed to recognize and promote the works of Mississippi playwrights and are open to all writers currently located in Mississippi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winners in the Adult and Youth competitions receive staged readings at the MTA Festival and cash prizes\u2013$500 for Adult winners, and $250 for Youth winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Submissions are accepted HERE<\/a> from April 1, 2026, until October 1, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
