SUMMARY:Playwriting Competition Submissions Open
DESCRIPTION:Submissions due for the playwrighting competition. \n\n\n\nThe MTA Playwriting Competitions are designed to recognize and promote the works of Mississippi playwrights and are open to all writers currently located in Mississippi. \n\n\n\nWinners in the Adult and Youth competitions receive staged readings at the MTA Festival and cash prizes–$500 for Adult winners\, and $250 for Youth winners. \n\n\n\nSubmissions are accepted HERE from April 1\, 2026\, until October 1\, 2026. \n\n\n\nRequirements can be found in our Handbook (Pg 62-68): HERE \n\n\n\nFor questions\, contact Greg Thorn ( gthorn@comm.msstate.edu)\, Youth Playwriting Chair\, or Cayson Miles (caysonmiles@gmail.com)\, Adult Playwriting Chair. \n\n\n\nMacro image on female hands\, typing on the laptop keyboard\, in a bright room\, at home or in an office space\, while having a hot cup of coffee.
